The Weekend Golfer Morning Routine: What to Do Before the First Tee
A practical pre-round morning routine for weekend golfers — from bag check to warmup to first-tee mindset — that takes under 45 minutes and actually works.

Night Before (5 Minutes)
Charge the rangefinder or GPS watch. Set the bag by the door. Confirm glove is dry. Count balls. Check weather. Everything else is morning stress.
Morning Warmup (20 Minutes)
Arrive 30 minutes early. Hit 20 wedge shots at 70% tempo, not full power. Move to mid-irons for 10 shots. Finish with 10 putts from 6 feet to build confidence. Skip driver on the range — save it for the first tee.
First Tee Mindset
Pick one swing thought. Not three. The golfer who shows up with a clear intention plays better than the one who arrived with four range tips in mind.
WYX First Tee Setup
GPS watch loaded, rangefinder in the pocket, fresh glove on, 4 tees in the shirt pocket, divot tool on the belt loop. Everything else is in the bag. That is the clean setup.
