Golf Trip Packing List — What To Bring And What To Leave
The definitive golf trip packing list for weekend trips, destination rounds, and bachelor party golf weekends — organized by bag zone and travel priority.

The Rule: Pack For 4 Rounds
If you are going for a 4-round trip, pack for exactly 4 rounds. More than that is weight. Two gloves, 12–16 balls, one box of tees, one rain jacket. Everything else is logistical clutter.
Golf Bag Essentials
Towel (wet/dry), club brush, ball markers (bring two — you will lose one), divot tool, scorecard holder, tee supply, extra glove, sunscreen. These never leave the bag regardless of destination.
Travel Bag For The Clubs
A hard-case travel bag protects clubs from airline baggage. A soft-shell travel bag with padding works for car trips. The non-negotiable is wrapping the drivers — a headcover and a towel around the shaft does the job.
Apparel For Four Rounds
Four polos or performance shirts, two mid-layers (quarter-zip or lightweight jacket), one rain jacket, four pairs of performance socks, two pairs of golf shorts or pants. Pack exactly this and you are set for any weather swing.
Shoe Bag
A vented shoe bag keeps spikes separate from clothes in the travel bag. It takes 30 seconds to pack and avoids the dirt-in-the-clothes problem on every trip.
What To Leave Home
Range finders you never use. Extra headcovers. A full box of 24 balls (buy locally if needed). Anything you are bringing "just in case" that you have not used in three rounds.
