How To Set Up A Golf Bag The Right Way
A practical golf bag setup guide: where things go, what to carry, what to cut, and how to make the bag feel composed before every round.

The Zone System
Think of your bag in three zones: top (rarely used clubs), middle (irons and wedges), bottom (putter and extra putter grips). Organize for easy access, not aesthetic.
What Goes In The Side Pockets
Balls in one pocket, tees in the side slot, glove in the small pocket at the top. Keep the caddie or small organizer in the front pocket for markers, divot tools, and small accessories.
The Towel Rule
One wet towel on the ring, one dry towel in a side pocket. Wash both weekly. A clean bag is part of a calm round.
What To Cut
Old scorecards, broken tees, dead balls, protein bar wrappers. Empty the bag once a month. If you have not touched it in two rounds, it does not earn a spot.
Small Upgrades That Change Feel
A leather bag tag, a milled ball marker, a scorecard holder, and a fresh set of grips make the bag feel intentional without a full rebuild.
